Laser cutting laboratory

Overview

The laser cutting laboratory belongs to the Autonomous Vehicles Research Group of the Institute of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of TalTech and is intended for laser cutting of parts necessary for various research group developments and student projects.

Equipment and facilities

The laboratory has the following equipment:

  • CO2 80 W – 80 W CO2 laser, working area: 800 x 600 mm, materials: plywood, acrylic, other soft materials
  • XTOOL F1 Ultra – Laser engraving (color engraving on stainless steel)

  • Laser cutting and engraving of parts required for student projects and studies

Collaboration and projects

Laboratory cooperation and projects are carried out through the Autonomous Vehicles research group (see also https://autolab.taltech.ee)
