May 14 at 10.00 o'clock there will be a public lecture (venia legendi) for the Professor of Building Automation and AI position.
The lecture titled "Building Automation and Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities for an Efficient, User-Centric, and Flexible Built Environment" will be presented by candidates Tuule Mall Parts and Raimo Simson.
The goal of the Automation and AI Professorship is to advance research, teaching, and development in the field of building automation and artificial intelligence, integrating building energy efficiency, indoor climate quality, the functionality of technical systems, and data-driven control solutions. The focus is on user-centric, energy-efficient, and flexible buildings and built environment solutions, including the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital twins, and building management system data to improve the performance of both new and renovated buildings. The position also supports the development of the building automation curriculum and the use of the TalTech campus as an applied research and testing platform.
