According to the Rector, teaching mathematics is not only a problem for teachers – universities also need to contribute. Land affirmed, "We are ready to take on a significant role in this." For example, we can talk to primary school students about the importance of mathematics and its various applications.

Currently, only about 30% of high school graduates can study at Tallinn University of Technology. "Usually, knowledge of narrow mathematics is not sufficient for studying in technical fields," noted the rector of TalTech.

The main theme of the conference held in Pärnu on February 8-9 is the multifaceted role of an educational institution leader.
