University Startup World Cup 2019
University Startup World Cup is coming back in a new format! This year, USWC is focusing on the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. That means that every team in the University Startup World Cup is trying to work towards at least one of these goals. The University Startup World Cup is more than just a competition, it is an opportunity to be part of an international network of experienced entrepreneurs and business professionals.
To ensure the best preparation for teams, they will participate in an online startup course before the Finals from May to July in which they’ll learn all they need to know about how to accelerate their start-up. The 40 most diligent and promising teams will be given USD 1,000 to attend the Finals in Copenhagen from October 30 to November 1, meet investors, match with mentors, exhibit their start-up at the DTU High Tech Summit and compete to win USD 15,000!
Last year's winner was STARTERtech alumni team LaavaTech. Laavatech was also the best in their category („Product & Design“). Currently they have their own office in Silicon Valley.
If you're a Tallinn University of Technology team and you are solving one of the 17 sustainable development goals, then apply to University Startup World Cup here. The deadline for this application round is due April 30th.
