Eesmärk:
Designing and facilitating a constructively aligned course requires certain knowledge and skills to understand and meet students’ needs for a well-facilitated coherent learning experience to support effective learning. Mastering this competence gives the teacher greater confidence and greater satisfaction from teaching.

Teemad:
Starting with a reflection on the basic principles of course design, an application phase will enable participants to relate these principles to their own philosophy of teaching and learning in higher education. The application will focus on an individual teaching project (e.g., design a new course or develop an existing course) and take into consideration on-going contextual changes (e.g., AI, teaching formats, inclusivity, transversal skills).

Marc Laperrouza
Marc is a senior lecturer and scientist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). His research focuses on innovation in emerging markets from both a macro and micro perspective.
Marc is passionate about pedagogy and the application of interdisciplinary and experiential learning approaches. He co-authored a book "Course Design. A Visual and Modular Approach" (2024) with UNIL colleagues Jacques Lanarès and Emmanuel Sylvestre. He runs workshops on course design in academic institutions worldwide on a regular basis. Including Tallinn in 2024 (TalTech Teachers’ Day Conference and following workshop for teachers’ support staff from Estonian higher education institutions).
Marc teaches at undergraduate, graduate and executive levels and was the recipient of the Best Teacher Award in Social Sciences and Humanities in 2024.
