Tallinn University of Technology

TalTech AI is a Centre of Excellence established by the School of IT and the Department of Software Science at TalTech, bringing together TalTech's expertise in artificial intelligence (AI). The center's mission is to advance AI development, research, and education by providing an interdisciplinary platform for scientific projects, applied research, and training. TalTech AI collaborates closely with both the private sector and government institutions, with the goal of becoming Estonia’s leading hub for AI development, research, and consulting.

Creation of an Interdisciplinary Platform

TalTech AI brings together the AI research, development, and applied knowledge from various faculties of the university, creating a strong collaboration platform for interdisciplinary projects.

International Collaboration

The center initiates, leads, and supports AI-related collaboration projects at both national and international levels.

Collaboration with the Government

By mapping TalTech's AI expertise, TalTech AI offers demand-driven and efficient cooperation to government institutions and the public sector.

Supporting Innovation and Entrepreneurship

In close cooperation with AIRE, the center fosters connections between AI research and development and entrepreneurship, supporting the creation of new products and services while enhancing companies' competitiveness.

Media Coverage and Raising Awareness

TalTech AI promotes regular media coverage of AI advancements, applications, and achievements, thereby raising public awareness.

Organizational Innovation and Efficiency

With AI playing an increasing role in work processes and education, TalTech AI aims to enhance internal AI expertise within the organization through demand-driven training programs.

Steering Committee

The TalTech AI steering committee unites representatives from various TalTech faculties and institutes to guide and support the center's strategic development. This committee coordinates interdisciplinary AI projects and fosters collaboration both within the university and externally, ensuring the center’s objectives are achieved.
