Aim of the course:

The aim of the course is to improve students' public speaking skills

Target group:

Required level of English B2

Prerequisites:

Prior knowledge of the English language at level B2

Topics:

- Speech of Introduction (3-5 minutes)
- Demonstration/How- To Speech (5-6 minutes)
- Informative Speech (5-6 minutes)
- Special Occasion Speech (3-4 minutes)
- Persuasive Speech (7-8 minutes)

Study results:

The students can:
- speak more confidently in front of an audience utilising a variety of delivery skills such as eye contact, gestures, movement and vocal variety;
- adapt their speech to the needs and expectations of a particular audience;
- select and research a speech topic;
- develop effective strategies for organising and outlining their speech;
- enhance various parts of their speech, including the introduction, conclusion, and transitions;
- critically assess their own speaking, and that of others.
