Welcome Reception

Welcome Reception is supported by Eesti Energia - the biggest energy producer and electricity-providing company in Estonia, which also implements numerous projects all around the globe.

The reception will be organized in Energy Discovery Center at 19:30 on June 14, 2023. The venue is located 1 km away from the conference hotel and can be reached on foot in less than 15 minutes from the venue hotel.

The Energy Discovery Centre is located in a 100-year-old power plant in the center of Tallinn on the border of the Old Town and the Kalamaja district. Here, you can see lightning even on a sunny day! Every day, lightning demonstrations are carried out with Tesla coils in the discovery center – an exhilarating experience. More than 100 hands-on exhibits explain how different electrical equipment work but also show exciting sound and light effects and introduce the cosmos and natural phenomena. The center has a planetarium where you can watch popular science short films and observe the sky. The center welcomes all curious minds, especially families with children.

Gala Dinner

Gala Dinner will be organized in "Seaplane Harbour" - Estonian Maritime Museum - at 20:00 on June 15, 2023. The venue is located 2 km away from the conference hotel and can be reached in 25 minutes on foot, 10 minutes on bus nr. 73, or 5 min on a BOLT taxi from the venue hotel.

Don't be late, or you will miss the opportunity to visit inside the 89-year-old mine-laying diesel submarine Lembit that sunk seven ships in World War II. It will be open for the Gala Dinner attendees between 20:00 and 21:00.

The most exciting maritime museum in Europe is located in the Seaplane Harbour. Located in the unique and historic seaplane hangar, its interactive exhibition includes about 200 authentic items on display: a submarine from the mid-1930s called Lembit, a century-old icebreaker Suur Tõll, a seaplane called Short 184, remains of the oldest ship found in Estonia, and much more. The museum and the Seaplane Hangar have been recognized with a number of awards: Estonia’s Most Tourist-Friendly Museum 2012, Europa Nostra Grand Prix 2013, Special Commendation from the European Museum of the Year 2014, and several others.
