Research in Economics and Business: Central and Eastern Europe
“Research in Economics and Business: Central and Eastern Europe” (ISSN 1406-4928) (REBCEE) is an academic journal publishing original research in economics and business administration that is related to the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region. The journal aims to stimulate a discussion on CEE economic issues between researchers from different countries as well as to provide valuable ideas for policy makers and other interested decision makers. REBCEE is published twice a year, in June and in December.
REBCEE is published by the School of Business and Governance (SBG) of Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech). TalTech, established in 1918, is the largest university in Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia. SBG, one of four faculties at TalTech, is the largest institution of research and higher education in economics and business administration in Estonia, offering fully accredited study curricula at bachelor, master and doctoral level and participating actively in international academic networks.
Regular issues of REBCEE are open to submissions from all authors from all countries provided that the submitted paper deals with a topic related to economic and business issues in the CEE region. REBCEE focuses primarily on empirical studies. Comparative cross-country and regional studies are particularly welcome as well as papers that incorporate policy implications. Along with papers by established scientists, we encourage submissions from early career researchers.

All submitted papers that pass a preliminary screening by the editors are subject to a double-blind review process. At least two anonymous reviewers will be appointed from among researchers in the topic area of the paper. Our policy is that the reviewers of a paper should be from different countries. The decision on acceptance, rejection or a need for revision will be made available to the author(s) within two months from submission. REBCEE has been published since 2009 and is registered and available in international electronic databases (EBSCO, RePEc, Ulrich’s and other).
The REBCEE journal ceased publication in 2020 and from 2021 onwards, no more articles will be accepted and no papers will be published.
