FinEst Centre for Smart Cities has started the 5th round of the Smart City Challenge and is inviting all TalTech researchers and developers to solve complex urban challenges to make cities better living environments.
This time we are launching the search for two solutions that tackle pressing urban challenges. The two selected pilot projects will focus on creating scalable, impactful solutions that improve the quality of life in urban areas and pave the way for smarter and more resilient urban futures. Each selected pilot project will receive up to €800,000 in funding to develop impactful and commercially scalable ideas in international collaboration.
On June 3rd, FinEst Centre is hosting an information session to provide a comprehensive understanding of the expectations and opportunities linked to participating in the Smart City Challenge. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to draw inspiration from past pilot projects.

Join us to discover why participating in the Smart City Challenge 2025 is a unique opportunity for you.
We will bring examples on how, as a researcher, you can contribute to developing innovative solutions to urban challenges, collaborate on interdisciplinary and international projects, and gain valuable experience shaping smart and sustainable cities.
Your involvement in the challenge opens doors to taking your research to the cities and making a real impact on urban development.
Please register by May 27th.
