June 16-19, 2020 the 14th International Database and Information Systems Conference Baltic DB & IS 2020
The Department of Computer Systems and the Department of Software Science of Tallinn University of Technology in cooperation with the Institute of Computer Science of the University of Tartu are organizing on June 16-19 the 14th International Database and Information Systems Conference Baltic DB & IS 2020. For the first time the conference will be held virtually.
The conference will feature 33 presentations accepted by the international program committee and 3 invited keynote talks. Presentations are offered both live and on video.
The keynote speaker of the conference is Prof. Claudia Hauff (TU Delft), who will talk about the main problems of information retrieval and their solutions in the age of neural networks. In addition, Prof. Marite Kirikova (Riga Technical University) will talk about continuous requirements engineering in socio-cyber-physical systems and Dr. Jan Willemson (Cybernetica AS) about the new encryption mechanisms of the Estonian ID card. The conference's contributions this time mainly come from the fields of artificial intelligence, data and knowledge technology and information security, which are very important in the construction of modern information systems.
The general leaders of the conference are Hele-Mai Haav and Jaan Penjam from the Department of Software Science of Tallinn University of Technology. The heads of the international program committee are Tarmo Robal from the Department of Computer Systems of Tallinn University of Technology and Raimundas Matulevicius from the Institute of Computer Science of the University of Tartu.
