Hhigh-level webinar introducing EC-MaRe – the European Centre for Maritime Retrofit, a €30 million Horizon Europe Teaming proposal currently in the final evaluation stage.
The initiative is led by TalTech – Estonian Maritime Academy and brings together leading Nordic–Baltic partners from Estonia, Finland and Norway to establish a Centre of Excellence focused on:
- clean and alternative maritime energy
- large-scale ship retrofit and fleet modernisation

Why this matters
EC-MaRe is designed as a long-term strategic capability for the Nordic–Baltic region, fully aligned with the European Green Deal, Fit for 55, FuelEU Maritime and EU industrial and cybersecurity strategies.
