3 March – 3 May 2025 the exhibition "From Roman Capitals to Pointed Pen Script" is open in the library's 2nd floor reading area.
Words and phrases in calligraphic form convey meaning even more vividly. Beautifully written Estonian language enhances wood, paper, and fabric, giving them a new life. The script catches the eye, and its content unfolds through the writing.
The exhibition presents works by Anu Karjatse, who has graduated from calligrapher Heino Kivihall’s Calligraphy School at Tallinn Folk High School (1997–1999). She has further refined her skills in masterclasses by Brody Neuenschwander, Olga Varlamova, and Svetlana Molodchenko. Her major design projects include song and dance festivals in Kuusalu and Jõelähtme municipalities. She has designed logos, posters, invitations, and more, as well as designed several books. Since 2018, she teaches the art of beautiful writing at the Calligraphy Studio of Tallinn Folk High School.
