Tallinn University of Technology

6 January – 28 February 2025 the exhibition "The Magical World of 3D Printing" is open in the library’s 2nd floor reading area.

3D printing is a technology for creating three-dimensional objects from digital models. It is widely used in medicine, the food industry, education, etc. Nowadays, 3D printers are also accessible for home users. The printing process uses filament material, one of the most popular being polylactic acid (PLA). Made from renewable resources like corn starch and sugarcane, PLA is environmentally friendly and odorless. At the exhibition in TalTech Library, you can witness the fascinating process of 3D printing in action every weekday from 12 to 19 and explore the possibilities of this cutting-edge technology. The exhibited items have been crafted by Minu Print OÜ, a company specializing in 3D printing since 2022.

The exhibition is complemented by a selection of books on 3D printing, displayed on shelves opposite the 2nd floor service desk. All books are available for borrowing.
