This October, TalTech Student Union is putting the spotlight on mental health, offering students and staff opportunities to take time for themselves, learn practical self-care tips, and discuss important topics together.
This year, the focus is on five key areas – communication, nutrition, sleep, movement, and emotions. Each week is dedicated to one theme and features inspiring lectures, workshops, and activities to support everyday wellbeing.

On Week 1, the focus is on communication!

Want to start your day with good food and great company? 🥪🥣 The Student Union Morning brings students together to enjoy fresh sandwiches and granola, taking a moment to relax and recharge before lectures. Come to the Student Union office, get a behind-the-scenes look at student life, and meet fellow students. You can share your ideas, thoughts, or questions about student life and events – every contribution is welcome and can spark exciting discussions. A warm, friendly atmosphere and a delicious breakfast await to give your day the best possible start!
On week 3, the focus is on sleep!

Feeling tense from classes or struggling with back pain? Come try a free student massage! 💆♀️ This time, the service is provided by students from the Estonian School of Massage and Therapy. Massage helps relieve muscle tension, reduce stress, and support recovery. Pre-registration is required, as spots are limited.

Stretch out stress and let energy flow in – wake up with Pilates! This class improves mobility and strengthens muscles. The session is led by Nele Reimets, PhD, who has over 10 years of experience and Polestar Pilates training. Pilates helps relieve chronic pain, boost energy, support mental clarity, and promote emotional balance. Let’s recharge for the whole day – don’t forget to bring your yoga mat!
On week 4, the focus is on moving!

📅 October 30, 17:00 Sound Journey with Gongs + Sauna Evening

If thoughts of exams make your head buzz, let the gong do it instead. A sound journey with gongs and crystal bowls offers deep relaxation, releasing stress while balancing mind and body. The session is guided by experienced sound therapist Rasmus Väli, who creates a unique and healing experience. Afterwards, you can join a relaxing sauna evening if you wish.
