The next Maritime Cyber Security Centre Research Seminar will be conducted via MS Teams on 29 January at 13:00-15:00 (see the link below).

Introductory remarks by the speaker
This is the public presentation of Dr. Aybars Oruç's doctoral thesis, focusing on the cyber security of Integrated Navigation Systems (INS), a cornerstone of modern maritime operations. This work addresses critical challenges, including outdated technologies, limited cyber security expertise onboard, and the increasing cyber threats faced by vessels. The presentation will cover, but not be limited to:
- A reference architecture for INS, focusing on its structure and components;
- Advanced cyber risk assessment methodologies to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities;
- A tailored training program aimed at enhancing cyber security awareness among maritime professionals.
Join us on January 29, 2025, to explore actionable solutions that integrate technology, processes, and human factors to strengthen the resilience of INS against cyber risks. Students, researchers as well as maritime and cyber security professionals, are invited to engage in this critical discussion and contribute to shaping the future of maritime cyber security.
