The next Research Seminar at the Estonian Maritime Academy, will take place on the 3rd of May at 15:00 EEST.

This time Marko Arik will give a presentation about a the iMUGS project cybersecurity research. The seminar will take place on site in Kopli 101 in room 208 at the Estonian Maritime Academy.

Abstract: The iMUGS is the largest European land defence robotics project running under the auspices of the European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP) funded by the European Commission. It involves seven countries, Estonia, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, and Spain; Estonia is mentioned first as it is an Estonian company, Milrem Robotics, and the company responsible for cybersecurity, Talgen Cybersecurity OÜ, is also an Estonian.

Bio: Mr Marko Arik is an industrial doctoral student in Taltech. His research area is cyberspace operations. Currently researching: NATO cyberspace definitions, cyberspace operations structures and cyberspace operation planners’ competencies. Marko is currently a project manager in Talgen Cybersecurity, managing the cybersecurity part of the Integrated Modular Unmanned Ground System (iMUGS) project. Behalf of Talgen, the project focuses on cybersecurity design and prototyping.
