The next stage of the Rector’s Cup 2026/2027 season is bringing everyone onto the football pitch! ⚽
Juuliuse Jüngrid invite students, staff and alumni from TalTech and other universities to join the Rector’s Cup football tournament!
The tournament is brought to you by Swedbank, the title sponsor of the Rector’s Cup.
How to participate?
⚽ Matches are played 6 vs 6, with five outfield players and one goalkeeper
👥 Teams can have 6 to 8 players, including up to two substitutes
🙋♀️ Each team must include at least one woman, and at least one woman must be on the pitch at all times
⏱️ Initial matches last 7 minutes; matches for teams that advance last 10 minutes
🥅 If a 7-minute match ends in a draw, a penalty shootout decides the winner
Matches are played on a smaller pitch, and at least two team places are reserved for each TalTech faculty.
Only the best-performing team from each faculty earns Rector’s Cup competition points. Every participant earns a participation point for the faculty they represent, regardless of their team’s composition or result.
