đź“ť Core strategic statements, as mission and vision, are among the most used and taught managerial tools. However, their usage and meanings vary widely in textbooks, and the terms in different textbooks frequently contradict each other conceptually. The article's main contribution is the analysis of the diverse and controversial conceptualization of the core strategic statements in 61 strategy textbooks. Previous literature on this topic is either missing or only indirectly related to the topic.
Enn Listra, professor emeritus and researcher at the School of Business and Governance, Tallinn University of Technology. His research interests are mainly related to strategy, higher education quality and management.
