Language component
All exchange students applying to TalTech must prove that they have sufficient English language skills for studies. The minimum English level accepted by TalTech is CEFR B2, and no individual skill level may be below B1
The English language certificate must be issued before the application deadline. TalTech does not accept quick or short online test results, such as Duolingo, OLS or placement tests. The organisation issuing the certificate must be accredited.
All required application documents must be submitted in English.

| Pearson Test of English Academic / PTE Academic* | Overall 59 with at least 59 in each Communicative Skills component |
| High school diploma | B2 level clearly stated |
| Home university Certificate | A students home university can certify their English B2 level (must mention all fours language skill levels: reading, listening, writing, speaking). |
| Previous studies completed fully in English | You must upload your diploma or graduation certificate confirming that you have graduated from a study programme taught 100% in English. |
| English as a native language | You must upload proof of nationality showing that you are a citizen of a country where English is an official language. |
