On November 1, the dance group Kuljus gave an amusing concert to celebrate its 75th anniversary in the Rugodiv Cultural Centre in Narva, and on November 16, the celebrations will culminate with the big concert Hetk (Moment) in the Alexela Concert Hall.

The anniversary celebrations, which have lasted almost a year and a half, are coming to their final stage. But before that, the dance group was able to create a memorable moment for the Narva audience with its anniversary concert.
Traditionally, major anniversary concerts have also been held outside the capital, in order to showcase high-level Estonian folk culture more broadly. Since Narva was last visited by Kuljus 20 years ago, it was now a pleasure to please the audience there again after a long time. A soulful and warm concert made the eyes spark of both the dancers and the audience, who really lived with the concert and treated the dancers with standing ovations. The evening gave an inkling that the anniversary concert Hetk performed at Alexela will be a truly colorful concert worthy of the 75th anniversary.
Kuljus began his anniversary celebrations in August 2023 with a concert titled Koduhoov (Home yard) in Hiiumaa, dedicated to the first artistic director of the dance group, Salme Valgemäe. In honor of Valgemäe, a commemorative bench was also unveiled near the Tahkuna lighthouse. That autumn, a dance competition Kiigemäel was organized in memory of Salme and Ott Valgemäe, where high school dance groups took over the TalTech Assembly Hall floor, performing various dances from the Valgemäes' repertoire as well as their own. The champion of the competition was the dance group Tantsutallad from Hugo Treffner Gymnasium. Throughout the year, several mentoring meetings took place, during which different groups of Kuljus visited dance ensembles in locations such as Rakvere, Loo, Vändra, Saaremaa, and Setomaa.

On November 16, over 100 folk dancers will take the stage at the Alexela Concert Hall, joined by choirs, folk musicians, and TalTech Cheerleaders to create a memorable and joyful moment. Kuljus is welcoming members of his alma mater to celebrate together at the concert.
The last 100 tickets are available at Piletikeskus.
