By creating near-instant digital duplicates of the battlefield from UAV feeds or any type of video footage, C2GRID enables analysts, planners, and operators to make faster, better-informed decisions. The platform integrates AI-based threat detection, significantly reducing the manpower needed to process the massive volume of imagery generated on modern battlefields.

Developed in close cooperation with frontline units in Ukraine, C2GRID designs its solutions for real operational conditions, helping Ukrainian defenders stay ahead. As warfare and technology evolve rapidly, the company strengthens European defence while gaining insights that shape tomorrow’s battlefields.

Looking ahead, the company plans to add advanced terrain analysis and AI-driven mission-planning tools to its platform. These capabilities will provide commanders with the most up-to-date and accurate information, supporting operations in complex battlespaces.

“Opportunities in 3D mapping for defence and civilian use are expanding rapidly, with new ones emerging almost daily and no sign of slowing, quite the opposite,” said Vladimir Kuts, CEO of C2GRID and Assistant Professor at Tallinn University of Technology. “With massive amounts of video generated on today’s battlefields, our near real-time 3D solution handles virtually any footage, giving those on the front lines better tools to defend freedom today or whenever necessary.”

“At Sunfish Partners, we back founders who build technologies with global impact. C2GRID’s ability to turn raw battlefield data into actionable intelligence in near real time is not just a breakthrough for defence it is a transformative step for how humans interact with complex environments. We are proud to support the team as they strengthen European security and pioneer applications that could one day extend far beyond the battlefield.” says Max Moldenhauer, Partner at German VC firm Sunfish Partners.

With the support of Sunfish Partners, C2GRID will accelerate product development, scale business operations, build strategic partnerships across Europe, and deepen cooperation with Ukrainian and Estonian defence forces as well as industry partners to broaden the use of its technology across military and commercial domains.

C2GRID is a spin-off of Tallinn University of Technology. The company brings together top TalTech talent along with defence-industry and startup experts.

“One of TalTech’s goals is to encourage and support employees’ entrepreneurial initiatives, as spin-off companies are a clear example of the impact of the university’s research and knowledge on society. We are very pleased that C2GRID has grown out of TalTech and has managed to secure an investment that creates the conditions for faster growth and market success,” noted Andri Sokka, Technology Transfer Expert at TalTech.
