The field of entrepreneurship is extremely dynamic and diverse, with new models and phenomena constantly emerging that our current theoretical frameworks and methodological tools might fail to capture fully. Recognizing this impasse, Basel Hammoda (Lecturer and PhD candidate in Entrepreneurship at the Department of Business Administration) and Prof Susanne Durst (Adjunct Professor in Entrepreneurship at the Department of Business Administration), worked together with a talented group of authors for the last year and a half on a book that can form a stepping stone, a bridge that connects our scholarly field better to those practical occurrences.

.

The result is the book: "Contemporary Entrepreneurship: Global Perspectives and Cases” that has been published online with Routledge Taylor & Francis Group, and is available through: https://www.routledge.com/Contemporary-Entrepreneurship-Global-Perspectives-and-Cases/Hammoda-Durst/p/book/9781032442808

The book is a collective effort of a diverse group of authors from around the world, including experienced researchers, junior ones, and practitioners. It dives deep into contemporary and emerging entrepreneurial phenomena through engaging narratives. Each case study (chapter) aims to extend theory to those novel phenomena, while providing insightful practical implications for entrepreneurs, managers, and educators.

The book features 11 unique cases (chapters) organized into three main themes: Digital entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial learning innovations, and Entrepreneurial challenges. The featured case studies are based mainly on primary data gathered from entrepreneurs and active members within the entrepreneurship ecosystem all over the globe, at different stages of the entrepreneurial process. Thus, it moves away from the typical unicorns and flagship start-up stories, which are abundant in management literature, to dive deep into realistic everyday entrepreneurial narratives. This book will be of interest to researchers, academics, practitioners, and students in the fields of entrepreneurship and small business management, international business, and management education.
