On 6 September 2021, the delegation of the Košice Self-governing Region, the second-largest region in Slovakia, paid a visit to TalTech.  The main focus of the visit was innovative cooperation between the business sector, academics, local and regional self-government, and research. The high-profile guests met with our Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Maarja Kruusmaa, Mr. Sven Illing, Vice-Rector for Entrepreneurship, Ms. Reet Pärgmäe, the Acting Head of Mektory, and Dr. Ralf-Martin Soe, the Director of the Smart City Center of Excellence.  Our Slovak guests also enjoyed a guided tour at Mektory.
