On 20 February, the Student Council of TalTech School of Business and Governance organised an internship fair, the aim of which was to bring students together with internship providers. The event was attended by nearly 20 representatives of Estonian companies and state institutions.
TalTech was represented by the Department of Business Administration, which has previously recruited a marketing intern and hired teaching and research assistants. The students were introduced to the internship opportunities by lecturers René Arvola, Paavo Siimann and Ekaterina Demiankova, as well as by the Director of the Department Merli Reidolf, teaching assistant Aleks Tabo and Early Stage Researcher Artur Toikka.
René Arvola said that the Department of Business Administration was seen as a somewhat surprising, but still serious internship option as soon as students were introduced to the internship opportunities offered by the department. A number of students put their names down and waited for more specific offers to be made. He added: "The internship fair was also a good opportunity to get to know potential guest lecturers. For example, the introduction of necessary topics in marketing subjects was discussed with Statistics Estonia and the Data Protection Inspectorate."
We welcome all interested candidates to write to us and try an internship or a part-time job at the department.
