This year's e-course quality label competition organised by the Estonian Quality Agency for Education (HAKA) came to an end on May 30th. The aim of the competition is to raise the standard of e-courses, share best practice and recognise dedicated lecturers who are engaged in digital developments. The e-course quality label is an important recognition for course authors - it confirms that both the content and delivery of the course meet the quality requirements of higher education.

This year, 70 applications were received. A total of 55 e-courses were awarded the label, 23 of which were from our university. This is the highest number of recognitions among all participating institutions.
Three of the recent winners of the TalTech e-learning award were also awarded the Excellence in Digital Education label. The Excellence in Digital Education label is given to courses that excel in both pedagogical approach and technological solutions, providing learners with particularly well-designed and engaging learning experiences.

Courses of Excellence in Digital Education from TalTech are:
- Robot Guidance and Software
Maarja Kruusmaa, Laura Piho, Simon Godon, Roza Gkliva, Walid Remmas, Christian Meurer (School of Information Technologies, Department of Computer Systems) - Basics and Applications of Gene Technology
Ott Scheler (School of Science, Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology) - Cartography
Gabriela Kotsulim (Estonian Maritime Academy)
Authors of e-learning top-level courses will have the opportunity to participate in the European Quality Assurance Forum 2025 organised by the The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) in Budapest with the support from KVARA.
Congratulations to all the course creators whose work has been recognised! Your contribution will help shape a modern and learner-friendly higher education.
