The right to organise the conference was decided in fierce competition, and Tallinn's candidacy was supported by the jointly developed new Bid Support Funding Program by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, Visit Estonia and the Estonian Convention Bureau. Both Raik and Jutman emphasise the value of participation in the Bidding Support Programme and highly recommend it to the colleagues who plan to bid for an international conference to be held in Estonia.

The European Test Symposium is the most important scientific conference on electronics testing in the continent. However, it is not only an event that connects European scientists. The symposium is expected to receive scientific articles from more than 30 countries worldwide and over 200 delegates. In addition to high academic interest, the conference has also attracted great attention from the global technology industry. The event's main sponsor is the German multinational company Siemens.
