EuroTeQ provides a number of opportunities for self-improvement and cooperation, which are also aimed at teaching staff and support staff, to allow them to better fulfil their role in ensuring quality education.
For Tallinn University of Technology, EuroTeQ is an important cooperation project that gives us the goal of improving the quality of our studies. Cooperation so far with top technical universities has laid the foundation for the creation of a unified course catalogue, the wider introduction of project- and problem-based learning, and in cooperation with companies, 21 skills of the engineer of the future have been defined. Many TalTech students have had the opportunity to improve their knowledge at a partner university or study with international students. Below we present the options for the university staff.
Come and experience:
- Opportunities for self-improvement: These include a series of seminars, workshops and training sessions that help to improve pedagogical skills and share best practices. Continuing education is carried out in close cooperation with experienced professionals, providing participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills. Check out our seminars here.
- Opportunities for international cooperation: EuroTeQ encourages lecturers and support staff to expand their teaching network at partner universities. EuroTeQ staff mobility is very similar to Erasmus+, but our mobility centre staff can help you find a host, by directing the TalTech staff member's request to visit to the right person at the host university. Check out the application options and apply today. Participating in a professional exchange allows you to share knowledge and experience, establish contacts with representatives of other schools, and enrich your own pedagogical approach and working methods. Read more here.
- Development of subjects: EuroTeQ provides financial support for the development of online English courses that meet modern demands. For the development of courses, the teaching staff can cooperate with the study designer and didactics specialist. In cooperation with the didactics specialist, the suitability of study materials that contribute to the active involvement and motivation of students can be reviewed. The courses that receive the grant will be made available in the EuroTeQ course catalogue. If you would like to apply for the grant, please contact the EuroTeQ project manager.
All in all, each of us can participate in the EuroTeQ project and collaborate with top European technical universities. According to Hendrik Voll, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at TalTech, cooperation between universities provides a quality guarantee for both current and future students: ‘By increasing the common ground within the EuroTeQ consortium it will be possible to create the prerequisites for a qualitative leap to the top level of European and, in fact, world excellence in our engineering, technical and economic disciplines.’
EuroTeQ Engineering University is part of the European Universities programme launched by the European Commission, which brings together 41 partnerships between universities. The European Universities initiative lays the foundation for the project's long-term vision, which sees reshaping and taking institutional cooperation between higher education institutions to the next level.
