In the framework of the NordBiz project, supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Department of Business Administration hosted an international intensive week on 8-12 April, focusing on circular economy and the fashion and textile industries.

Thirty-two students from eight different countries - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark - took part. The course was led by Merle Küttim and Virve Siirde. The main objective of the event was to find solutions to the challenges of circular economy in Estonian companies, especially in the fashion and textile industries.

The participants, who had previously studied circular economy and the fashion and textile sectors in their countries, were divided into teams of five. Over the course of a week, they produced a written report and presented the final results, analysing the cases of Estonian companies such as Aclima OÜ, MooMoo and Jospel OÜ. They gathered more information, looked for solutions and made links between their home countries and Estonian companies.

The intensive week proved to be a great success, providing students with new knowledge and experience in the fields of circular economy and fashion and textile industries. It also provided an opportunity to get to know students from other countries and their cultures, making it an enriching experience for all participants.

In addition to academic work, the intensive week was also a time for intercultural interaction and making new friends. The participants went on a joint tour of Tallinn's Old Town and spent time in the bowling alley.
