On September 11, the Department of Energy Technology hosted a welcome evening for first-year students of the Environmental, Energy and Chemical Technology programme (EACB), offering them a memorable and inspiring start to their university journey. Led by third-year students, the event featured a lively orientation activity that guided newcomers through key buildings of the university campus and introduced them to historical figures, all while solving creative challenges at various checkpoints.
After the active exploration, the evening continued in a relaxed atmosphere — sauna, pizza, and social games created a friendly setting for students to connect and get to know one another. Senior students presented the institute’s opportunities and ongoing projects, sharing valuable insights for both academic success and student life. Among the creative activities was a mini treasure hunt that added excitement and tested teamwork skills. The highlight of the evening was the ceremonial freshman oath, officially welcoming the new students into the institute’s academic family.
The EACB kickoff event was a great success — new friendships were formed, knowledge was shared, and a strong foundation for collaboration was laid. We hope this tradition continues to grow, offering each new cohort a warm and supportive start to their university experience!
