Since the library building is closed for renovations until September, it's good to know how to use the library now and where you can study quietly.
First: The 24/7 study room, or rather computer class, is now SOC-219. The room has three computer workstations and four workstations with monitors. Access is with TalTech ISIC, ITIC or personnel card.
Second: In connection with the above, the entire 1st and 2nd floors of the SOC building are open 24/7.
Third: During the day, these two floors, of course, do not function as a quiet study room. In addition to the usual bookable study rooms – see the map!, 1- or 2-person "silence booths" are available in the SOC 1st floor lobby and in the 2nd and 3rd floor corridors; NRG in the 2nd floor atrium, U01 in the cafeteria area and lobby, U04 in the 1st floor corridor. In addition, the “light openings” or small quiet pockets in the corridors of the study buildings are equipped with tables and chairs. The Real Estate Department invites students to explore different buildings in campus and find their favourite quiet corners.
Fourth: The temporary library service area on the 1st floor of the LIB building is open. There you can borrow and return, ask for advice, use an authorized workstation, use a computer workstation, check out new books, also print, scan, and copy. Open Mon-Fri 8:30–20, Sat 10–17, closed Sun. Entrance from the front door of the library building on Ehitajate tee. All e-services are available as usual – send letters, ask in the chat, or search the databases.
