On September 17, on which Tallinn University of Technology also celebrates its anniversary, we officially launched the establishment of the IPV-net, the network successor of the Islamic Public Value project which was funded by the John Templeton Foundation and led by Prof. Wolfgang Drechsler. The aim of the IPV-net is to support scholarly exchange and cooperation focusing on the Islamic contributions to the public sphere.

Prof. Salah Chafik, as executive secretary, gave an overview of the Islamic Public Value project's achievements and an outline of the plans and prospects of the network, which in addition to TalTech includes College of Public Policy (CPP) at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Fakultas Ilmu Administrasi at the University of Indonesia, GSPA NIDA, and IIPP at the University College London as core members.

During the launch of the IPV-net, Prof. Drechsler introduced two key IPV project publications, the Halduskultuur issues 24.1 and 24.2 on IPV in Southeast Asia and IPV and Governance, respectively. Dr. Bonn Juego from the University of Jyväskylä and Dr. Defny Holidin from the University of Indonesia gave lectures based on their contributions to issue 24.1.
