Due to the completion of construction and interior design works, the library building (LIB) will open to readers in November. In the meantime, the library will continue to serve readers in a temporary service area on the 1st floor of the LIB building.
Until the building opens, the passage between the buildings via LIB building is also closed, movement between SOC and NRG buildings will continue through the court.
The canteen that operated on the 1st floor of the LIB building will also continue to operate there in November, when the building reopens.
During the summer, a new staircase was installed in the gallery between the LIB and NRG buildings, which takes to the open area of the library on the 3rd floor. The elevator shaft has been made longer, so this now also takes to the 3rd floor. Individual and group work rooms, a relaxation area and an exhibition area will be added to the 2nd floor, as well as a 100-seat seminar room with a large screen.
All library services will continue to be available
The library's temporary service area on the 1st floor of the LIB building is open. There you can borrow and return books, ask for advice, use an authorized workstation, use a computer workstation, check out new books, and print/scan/copy. Entrance from the front door of the library building on Ehitajate tee.
All library e-services are available as usual – send letters, ask questions in chat, or search databases. The return machine is also working, you can find it by the door to the service area on the 1st floor of the library.
