At the conference of the Estonian Center of Excellence in ICT Research (EXCITE) Meelis Kull, the Associate Professor in Machine Learning at University of Tartu, spoke about the need for reliable artificial intelligence (AI). According to him, artificial intelligence has already developed so much that it cannot be considered just a tool, but already a worker. However, AI is still something we can not fully trust.

The presentation of Meelis Kull was part of the conference „The Future Belongs to the Curious“ on March 9 2022, organized by the EXCITE Centre of Excellence. The full conference can be viewed again here.

The EXCITE Centre of Excellence has brought together the absolute best of the Estonian IT sector. EXCITE researchers use scientific methods to develop secure and reliable ICT systems, deploying them wherever possible - with a focus on areas such as healthcare, safety, environmental protection, banking and more. Top researchers from Tallinn University of Technology, University of Tartu and Cybernetica AS belong to the Center of Excellence.
