Over the weekend, the best state institution in volleyball was selected. The mixed team of TalTech employees was successful in the tournament, which was part of the series ‘Sportiest State Institution in Estonia’, and returned with a silver medal.
According to Merli Reidolf, captain of the TalTech team, the day was full of evenly matched battles, where the experience of the older players mixed with the enthusiasm of the younger ones brought the result. Engineers, chemists, IT scientists, and economists were all on the court for a common goal.
The team included: Merli Reidolf, Allan Niidu, Merle Lääne, Kirsti Rumma, Tõnis Oja, Fyodor Sergeyev, Siim Lomp, and Vyacheslav Bolkvadze.
This time, the Estonian Defence Forces took home the win. In total, 10 teams were competing: Operail, the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund, the Prison Service, the Transport Administration, the Estonian Defence Forces, the Police and Border Guard Board, the Tax and Customs Board, TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology, the Ministry of Defence, and the Ministry of Rural Affairs.
