“Following the tragic passing of our former director, Professor Tanel Kerikmäe, this has been a very challenging period. Nevertheless, our team remains united and firmly committed to maintaining our leading position in law and technology by providing excellence in research and education. We plan to expand our research and educational activities through internal and external collaboration at TalTech, training lawyers who possess not only strong legal expertise but also solid technological knowledge. This interdisciplinary approach is vital for developing well-considered regulatory frameworks that support responsible technological innovation,” said Archil Chochia, the new Director of the Department of Law.

Archil Chochia is an alumnus of the Department of Law at TalTech and currently works there as a Senior Research Fellow. His research and teaching focus primarily on European Union law and public law. He also contributes actively to the development of teaching activities and international research cooperation.
