Tallinn University of Technology

From the autumn semester of 2023, the Mobility Centre: Office of Academic Affairs, together with the School of Engineering, will launch a pilot project for student ambassadors, or Mobility Ambassadors. The aim of the student ambassadors' project is to introduce and popularise mobility opportunities among students, using the help and experience of the students who are going to study abroad.

The pilot project involves 5 students from the School of Engineering who are studying abroad in the autumn semester of 2023 in different TalTech partner schools – Technical University of Denmark (Denmark, EuroTeQ partner school), Czech Technical University in Prague (Czech Republic, EuroTeQ partner school), Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy), Polytechnic of Porto (Portugal) and Sapienza University (Italy).

Thanks to the student ambassadors, during the autumn semester, we can, for example, get an overview of studying in the mentioned partner universities via Tallinn University of Technology social media channels, and read the stories of students' experiences on TalTech's mobility opportunities website and Studioosus. In addition, the student ambassadors will help answer questions and e-mails concerning study opportunities at specific schools and share information about the subjects studied during the period of studying abroad, which could be substituted in the study programme of the University of Technology. The student ambassadors also help to promote the opportunities for studying abroad after the end of their time abroad, for example, by participating in TalTech's Open Doors Day, pre-week information sessions, student exchange fairs, etc.

The School of Engineering pays a scholarship to the student ambassadors.

During the autumn semester, we will also contact other schools to introduce the project in more detail, and perhaps to continue with a larger number of participating student ambassadors from different schools of Tallinn University of Technology in the spring semester.
