The long and challenging Rector's Cup season has finally come to an end:

  • 10 stages;

  • 3,567 participants;

  • 500+ volunteers;

  • 1 trophy

Swedbank presents: Rector's Cup 2024/2025 winner – the SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

The School of Engineering dominated the 2024/2025 Rector’s Cup season from the very first stages—both in terms of results and participation. Special recognition goes to Renee Maripuu, the Sports Representative of the School of Engineering's Student Council, whose tireless promotion efforts and excellent team-building skills ultimately secured a decisive victory.

Out of 3,567 total participants, 1,563 were from the School of Engineering—nearly twice as many as the second-place School of Business and Governance, which logged 810 participations.

Participation by School:

  4. Estonian Maritime Academy – 343

  5. School of Science – 155

Additionally, 250 participants came from outside Tallinn University of Technology.

  4. Estonian Maritime Academy – 1,725 pts

  2. School of Business and Governance – 4,551.5 pts

  3. Estonian Maritime Academy – 3,650 pts

Rector’s Cup Awards:
🥇 1st place – A project worth up to €10,000, aimed to be a "tangible benefit" for the entire university community
🥈 2nd place – €3,000 prize
🥉 3rd place – €2,000 prize

What’s next?

The organizers of the Rector’s Cup are already planning for the next season—bigger and bolder than ever. Two stages are already confirmed:
We’ll kick off with the Student Organization Pentathlon in early September, and later that month, during the International University Sports Week, you’re once again invited to join us for the cross-country relay.
