Tallinn University of Technology invites all running enthusiasts, both from within the university and beyond, to take part in the closing event of this season’s Rector’s Cup, the 10 km run, on May 29.
You can take part in the event either in a competitive format or enjoy the forest trails at a relaxed pace. Walkers and Nordic walking enthusiasts are also welcome. The aim of the event is to motivate the university community and friends to be active together in the fresh air and to move step by step towards a healthier society and future.

In addition, a separate children’s run will take place so that even the youngest participants can experience the joy of movement.
The evening will conclude with a live performance by Karl-Erik Taukar Band, bringing great atmosphere and positive emotions after an active day.
The best participants will be awarded in the following categories:
- the three fastest female and male TalTech student runners
- the three fastest female and male TalTech staff runners
- the three fastest female and male TalTech alumni runners
- the three fastest female and male school student runners
- the three fastest female and male runners in the open category
- the fastest female and male runners in the 50+ age category
As in previous years, special competitions will once again take place within the main race.
The event is free of charge for members of Tallinn University of Technology (students, staff, alumni) and school students. At the race centre, participants will be asked to present a suitable document to confirm TalTech membership or school student status (ISIC card, student ID, photo of a certificate, etc.).
The race centre is located in the inner courtyard of Tallinn University of Technology (Ehitajate tee 5, Tallinn), near the amphitheatre. The start will be given next to the Akadeemia tee 7 dormitory, on the forest side of the campus, heading towards Mektory.
The Tallinn University of Technology 10 km Run is part of the university’s Rector’s Cup series and is the final stage of the 2025/2026 season.
