The DataCite Estonia Consortium is organizing a seminar on Friday, May 5th, at Tallinn University of Technology titled "Open Science and Data Management - Mandatory and/or Beneficial?" to provide practical advice for better managing research projects and associated data.

The seminar will cover requirements and principles for open science and research data management, including methods for collecting, documenting, and sharing data, archiving, and ethical aspects. In addition, relevant practices and university services for data management will be introduced.

Specialists from universities in Leiden, Sheffield, Göttingen, and Helsinki will speak at the seminar. Representatives from the Estonian Research Council, universities, and the DataCite Estonia Consortium will present Estonian perspectives and experiences.

Researchers, doctoral students, and specialists supporting researchers who consider implementing open science principles important for the future are welcome to attend the event.

The seminar will begin at 11 am on May 5th and can be attended either in-person in Tallinn or online. Register to attend online
