In the 4th round of the Smart City Challenge, FinEst Centre for Smart Cities aim to invest 3.7 million euros to discover and implement four innovative ideas that address complex urban challenges.

By September 16th, we received 35 solution ideas for 20 city challenges from researchers mainly at TalTech, but also from other universities and companies. Explore all submitted solutions ideas and see if you can team up with other researchers or companies to submit pilot project proposals by November 15, 2024, together with cities.
The Smart City Challenge 2024 has now reached the next phase, where we invite all researchers to team up and find cities to partner with to conduct pilot project proposals.
On September 25, we invite all researchers and developers to a workshop where you can hear all the submitted ideas and find potential partners for testing solutions. Solution ideas are from different fields like circular economy, city maintenance and planning, energy, mobility, people centred city.
Finetune the smart city solution ideas and work together with partners on your pilot project proposal. Conclude the idea on maximum six pages on the application form. Send it to smartcity@taltech.ee by November 15, 2024.
