Co-edited and co-authored by Associate Professor Liis Ojamäe and Professor Emerita Katrin Paadam, the Routledge Publishing Collection "Enabling the City. Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Encounters in Research and Practice", published in 2021, has received recognition from the American Library Association.
The collection has been selected as a Highly Recommended title by CHOICE (the publishing unit of the Association of College and Research Libraries) amongst the best academic publications. The book is available both in TalTech’s library and fully open access here.
“Enabling the City” is a collaborative book that focuses on how interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary processes of knowledge production may contribute to sustainable urban transformation at a local level in the 21st century, offering theoretical discussions and interpretations of case studies on complicated experiences of applying cross-disciplinarity as well as bridging academia and urban practices.
