In addition to the university-wide recognition, the School of Business and Governance has a tradition of selecting its teaching staff members, programme directors and support staff members of the year.
Katrin Arvola - the title of the best Programme Director of 2022.
Katrin Arvola is the Programme Director of the International Business Administration and Management and Marketing. She highly appreciates the cooperation with the Programme Advisory Board, teaching staff and students. To develop a good programme, joint discussions have been organised with various parties, including entrepreneurs. Since the programme content is delivered to students by the teaching staff, they need to be aware of its background as much as possible. At the end of each semester, Katrin meets with students in a relaxed atmosphere to discuss the concerns and joys they have experienced during the semester or what could be done better next time, etc. According to students, the Programme Director acts discreetly; she is helpful, reliable, friendly, and best suitable for the position.
Egert Juuse and Holger Mölder - the titles of the best teaching staff member of 2022
Egert Juuse works at the Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance as a researcher and Programme Director of the Public Sector Innovation and eGovernance and Technology Governance.
Egert has been active and successful in teaching activities at the BA level as a lecturer and the MA level as a Programme Director, lecturer, and supervisor. He has successfully developed BA-level courses, implemented them, and received good student feedback. At the MA level, Egert has actively led master's thesis feedback seminars and discussions on internships and consulting projects. As a Programme Director, he has led two innovations of the international curriculum and prepared the funded Erasmus Mundus project application.
Holger Mölder is an Associate Professor and Programme Director of International Relations and European-Asian Studies at the Department of Law.
In addition to the positive student feedback, he has recently received a scholarship for a long-term assignment at Stanford. He has been active in several significant research and development projects of the department, successfully acted as a Programme Director and been the editor-in-chief of the recently published book on security law in the 3.1 category, which proves the scientific basis of Holger's teaching activities.
Kristin Semm - the title of the best support staff member of 2022
Kristin Semm works as the Quality Officer in the Dean’s Office at the School of Business and Governance and has been the “importer” of positive results of international accreditations. Thanks to this, the international cooperation of the School of Business and Governance has rapidly grown, and more of the best practices of cooperation partners are being learned and implemented. Kristin is the one who does great things calmly and quietly. Over the years, she has become an employee with valuable competencies for the school. Kristin is always ready to think along with her colleagues and lend a helping hand when needed.
Congratulations to all the awardees.
We wish you bright ideas, enthusiasm, and energy to implement them.
