From 1 January 2025, Estonian universities will have access to the artificial intelligence tool Scopus AI, which offers researchers and students innovative solutions for finding and analyzing scientific information. Anyone interested can use the tool in the TalTech network.
Scopus is an abstract and citation database that contains peer-reviewed scientific literature. The AI application adds artificial intelligence functions to the platform, providing users with better search and analysis results.
Scopus AI analyses the query and prepares an answer based on the summaries of articles published in the database since 2003. Scopus AI also supports queries in Estonian, making it even more convenient for local research enthusiasts. Search results are presented with references and are easy to check. In addition, Scopus AI generates a concept map related to the topic and highlights new emerging trends and leading experts in the field.
Scopus AI gives Estonian researchers and students the opportunity to be more competitive in the international scientific world. The introduction of Scopus AI was made possible thanks to the joint procurement and funding of the Estonian Libraries Network Consortium (ELNET).
Scopus AI is available in the TalTech network to anyone interested. TalTech members can also access the database via remote connection FortiClient VPN.
