Starting university can be a bit intimidating for any newcomer – everything is new (people, places, routines). To ease those fears and help you get to know your new classmates early on, TalTech's Student Union organizes the annual Kick-Off Event. This year, the Kick-Off Event will take place on August 26th.
What is the Kick-Off Event?
The Kick-Off Event is an exciting and adventure-filled experience that allows new students to meet their future classmates and get a closer look at what the university's student organizations are up to.
During the Kick-Off Event, all freshmen are grouped with their future coursemates. Together, they will navigate the university campus, visiting up to 15 different student organization stations. In previous years, these stations have featured exciting obstacle courses and challenges.
All of this helps you bond with your coursemates, and by the end of the day, you'll have made some new friends even before classes start.
The project manager of the Kick-Off Event invites everyone to join: “At the Kick-Off Event, you’ll get acquainted with TalTech's university life and structure. It’s a perfect opportunity to meet your future classmates, so you’ll already have friends and familiar faces in your first lecture – just like I met my current best friend there. You’ll also get a glimpse of the student organizations, and the vibrant university life. Get ready, because exciting challenges await you and your new coursemates!”
Everything that happens on the day of the Kick-Off Event remains a surprise for the participants.
