A total of 2,998 new students started their studies at the University in the academic year 2023/24, of which 1,818 at the bachelor’s level, 1,090 at the master's level and 90 in doctoral studies (all enrolments in the academic year 2023/24, including those enrolled through the faculty, are taken into account).

Admission numbers to both the bachelor’s and master’s degrees have increased compared to the previous year, with the increase coming from the admission of Estonians. The biggest increases have been in master’s degree admissions and in the first level of studies in professional higher education. Doctoral enrolments continue to decline.
