Within EuroTeQ, hundreds of students from partner universities have taken courses (and completed them) already. One of these students is Annabel Pugi, a second-year informatics student at our own dear university - TalTech. We asked Annabel about her experience with EuroTeQ.

What course did you choose within EuroTeQ and why?
I chose the course 'Connected Objects and the Internet of Things' within EuroTeQ because I found the topic of the Internet of Things intriguing, and the course description seemed interesting. The course was offered by École Polytechnique, focusing on creating connected objects/systems. It was a 'regular' course, meaning unlike a blended course where you can go to a foreign university for a certain period, this course was entirely online."
How satisfied were you with the course?
The course was much more exciting than I expected because it was surprisingly practical. At the beginning of the course, we received Arduino kits to solve various assignments, allowing me to delve deeper into understanding Arduinos. I also learned about registers, how to write more energy-efficient code, used a Bluetooth module, and practiced creating electrical schematics.
Why did you decide to take EuroTeQ courses? Why take courses from EuroTeQ at all?
I ended up taking a EuroTeQ course rather coincidentally. The opportunity to take a subject offered by a foreign university seemed interesting to me, so I glanced at EuroTeQ's course catalog. I found quite a few interesting courses there, and eventually, I chose one.
Besides interesting course topics, there are several reasons why taking EuroTeQ courses is worthwhile:
- Meeting new acquaintances from other universities.
- A good opportunity to get a closer look at another university, such as their educational system and the systems they use.
- A chance to accumulate ECTS credits. There is also an option to discuss with the program manager and replace certain curriculum subjects with EuroTeQ subjects."
Which course, if any, would you like to take next through EuroTeQ?
I would like to take another course from EuroTeQ that involves hands-on projects. I also enjoy learning foreign languages, so language courses are also among my choices.
The EuroTeQ course catalogue for the spring semester 2024 is open until November 24th. More information: euroteq.eduxchange.eu
