Unfortunately, military operations in Ukraine are still intense and have already claimed the lives of thousands of people, destroying their homes, schools, hospitals, workplaces, and infrastructure, scattering families, and ruining people's daily livelihood and dreams.
More than eight million Ukrainians have sought asylum everywhere in the world, and about 1.5% of them, or 127,000 people, have passed through Estonia. According to today's data, about 40,000 people have stayed here, trying to rebuild their lives, work and educate their children. Many of them yearn to return to their homeland, but the unstable situation in Ukraine limits their opportunities.
At TalTech School of Business and Governance, there are 33 highly motivated Ukrainian students who value education as a crucial tool that helps people create a better future for themselves. Educated and successful people contribute to their society, both economically and socially. Quality education enables Ukrainian students to contribute to Estonian and Ukrainian development and progress.
As we know, many Ukrainian families cannot pay for their children's education and financially support them during their studies. Therefore, the scholarship is vital for students to finance their studies.
TalTech School of Business and Governance established a special scholarship fund in March 2023 to raise money to support Ukrainian students admitted to the School. The students are expected to study full-time, have a strong sense of duty, and be successful in their previous studies; they must be highly motivated and interested in their field of study.
Both companies and individuals can donate to the fund.
Although one person's donation may seem insignificant, every donation contributes to a worthy cause. By donating to Ukrainian students, you allow them to change their world through education and create positive change in the entire society.
Supporting Ukrainian war refugees helps them cope with their difficult situation. One of the easiest and most effective ways to do this is to contribute to the TalTech donation portal.
The goal is to support successful students from Ukraine with at least 500 euros per month from the collected donations, which would cover at least part of their tuition fees and provide them with a more stable financial situation.
Together we support Ukrainian students’ studies at the TalTech School of Business and Governance.
