On the evening of July 28, a fire broke out on the roof of the TalTech Science building. It was a fortunate accident—no one was harmed, and the equipment and other inventory were undamaged. The lab equipment was also checked to ensure its safety.

The suspended ceiling tiles were partially damaged by water during the extinguishing process and will be replaced soon.

The part of the roof that was opened during the fire has now been sealed and covered with new material.

Therefore, work can continue smoothly in the new academic year. The School of Science looks forward to welcoming back its students, lecturers, researchers, and support staff from their summer break.
