Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal visited Tallinn University of Technology, where he delivered a speech to the university community discussing cybersecurity and its impact on warfare. The Prime Minister highlighted Estonia as a good partner, citing its example in kickstarting Ukraine's digitalization efforts. This hasn't only helped protect computers and technology but also people.
Last year, Tallinn University of Technology's Rector Tiit Land and Vice-Rector for Research Tiit Lukk visited the Ukrainian capital Kyiv with a delegation led by President Alar Karis. Lukk recalls their visit to Kyiv: "Upon arriving at the hotel, I noticed people around me suddenly disappearing. It turned out they had gone to the shelter. After that, I downloaded an air raid alert app, which we needed for the next night."
